##Introduction

Kaduna State University was founded in May 2004 through legislation passed by the Kaduna State Government. Upon Professor Sambo's appointment to lead the Nigerian Energy Commission by the Federal Government, Professor Aminu S. Mikailu succeeded him as the second Vice-Chancellor.
