##Profile of Professor Chigozie Nkwor Ogbu
Professor Ogbu was born in Umudomi, Igboeze-Onicha, Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. He began his educational journey at Presbyterian Primary School, Onicha, where he completed his First School Leaving Certificate in six years, ahead of the standard eight-year duration.

He proceeded to St. Patrick’s College, Asaba, Delta State, under the Afikpo County Council Scholarship, obtaining Division One in the West African School Certificate in 1963. He furthered his studies at the Federal School of Science, Lagos, under the Federal Government Bursary Scholarship, earning the University of London General Certificate of Education, Advanced Level in Physics, Chemistry, and Zoology.

In the United States, Professor Ogbu attended Macalester College, St. Paul, Minnesota, under the sponsorship of House of Hope and Mariam Lexington Presbyterian Churches, St. Paul, Minnesota. He received the prestigious George F. Baker of New York Scholarship Award for "Highest Overall Promise" at Macalester and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry and Psychology in three years instead of the standard four years.

He graduated from Rush Medical College, Rush University, Chicago, Illinois, under the sponsorship of House of Hope Presbyterian Church, St. Paul, Minnesota, earning a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree in three years instead of the standard four years.
