What is Software
A software is a computer program that uses instructions specified by the developer to control the computer hardware when performing any task.

Types of Computer Software
1) System Software

2) Application Software
This is a type of software that is basically developed for end users operation. It can be easily installed and uninstalled anytime by the system user.
This type of software is developed to solve a specific problem. Examples of application software are Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Adope Photoshop, Notepad, WordPad e.t.c.
3) Programming Software
As the name implies, it is a software that programmers or application developers used for inventing or creating application software.
Simply put, it is a software through which other software are created. It enables the programmer to give some set of instructions otherwise called codes that the computer system will follow in solving the designated task.
