Bank credit policies are rules and regulations as well as other guide a bank and other financial institution. This project is directed towards credit policy of financial institution and its relevance to economic growth. The researcher was able to X-ray the historical background of regulation of bank in Nigeria. The background was critically examined. The cavity investment scheme and importance of credit policies was discussed extensively for better understanding, the researcher was the questionnaire and personal discussion to collect data for the study and the sample percentage method was used for data analysis.
