ISOLATION AND IDENTIFICATION OF BACTERIAL IN LIPSTICK

The outcome of this study has show that lipsticks are contaminated with microbes which are detriment to health of the user. The presence of Staphylococcus Sp, E. Coli; Bacillus and Shigella species is alarming and calls for stringent means of testing and analyzing lipsticks by the regulatory agencies. It also gives room for suspicion as many of the products may be fake/ misbranded as per the fair packaging and labelling act of Nigeria for cosmetics products.
