ABSTRACT/DESCRIPTION


This research work is focused on the statistical analysis of incidence cases of HIV/AIDS in Delta State using Isoko North and South, Sapele and Aniocha South L.G.A as area of concentration. At the preliminary chapter, an introduction to the study was provided. The problem which this project work intends to solve stated, as well as the aims and objectives, scope, limitation, significance of the study, research questions and hypothesis to be tested. All necessary terms used were well defined. In chapter two, the various contributions of several authors and researchers to this project work were reviewed. Chapter three of this study explained the research methodology which includes sources of statistical data; method of data collection; method of data presentation and statistical tool for data analysis. In chapter four, the data on the incidence of HIV/AIDS in the four local governments were collected and carefully analyzed using SPSS (statistical packages for the social science) and future projections were made using the arithmetic and geometric projection model. The results of the analysis were duly interpreted. The analysis was carried out to determine if there is significant difference in the rate of occurrence of HIV in the different local government areas. The data for the study were grouped in two tables for 2019 & 2020 respectively.
